A KERRY TD has compared the feeling he experienced when receiving the Covid-19 vaccine in the Killarney Sports and Leisure Centre to the elation he felt when being elected to the Dáil at the same venue.

Deputy Government Chief Whip and Kerry Fine Gael TD, Brenan Griffin, was vaccinated in Killarney on Sunday and he went online to thank the vaccination team and all the staff involved for their efficiency.

He was impressed with how system was being operated, from the stewards in the car park to the person who administered the vaccine who the thanked for the “painless jab.”

“Thanks to absolutely everybody who plays a part in making the operation so seamless and impressive,” Deputy Griffin said.

“I’ve had some great days in Killarney Sports and Leisure Centre over the years, being honoured to be elected there in 2011, 2016 and 2020 but the 2021 trip for the first vaccine today was extremely special,” he remarked.
