MEMBERS of Dóchas Drama Group are adding the finishing touches at rehearsals for eight short plays, by various authors, which will be presented at the Killarney Avenue Hotel early next week.
These are all new scripts by local authors Brian Bowler, Liz Ryan, Mary McCarthy and Michael Mills, American author, Scott Mullen and Sadie Delaney from Dublin.
All eight are being staged for the first time and a variety of themes and genres are explored.
Dóchas PRO Mary Murphy said the audience will recognise some character types, they will love some, pity some, identify with some and question the intentions of others.
“The plays present a glance at a variety of characters and situations and the audience will enjoy the evening in their company,” she said.
The shows will be staged next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 8pm and the admission fee €10, payable at the door.
