New gear, same heroes for Kerry fans

EXCITED young Kerry GAA supporters got to get up close to their sporting idols this Monday as the Kerry GAA launched its official new championship gear for the 2019 season.

An exciting and colourful selection of new training tops, half-zips, casual wear and other gear was officially unveiled at the Kerry GAA Store at Killarney Outlet Centre and excitement reached fever pitch for the young fans when their heroes walked through the door to model the new range.

Man of the moment David Clifford, with a tribute to a hero behind him, shares a joke with store manager Luke Quinn

David Clifford, not surprisingly, was in big demand for selfies and autograph hunters but there was no shortage of players with real star appeal in attendance including Paul Murphy, James O’Donoghue, Shane Ryan, Dara Moynihan, Micheál Burns, Brian Kelly, Gavin White, Shane Enright, Jonathan Lyne and Jack Sherwood.

Affable Kerry manager Peter Keane – the man charged with the considerable responsibility of trying to halt Dublin’s drive for five – was also there to meet and greet the fans and he had a smile and a kind word for all the young supporters that were delighted to be there with him.

Kerry GAA Store manager, Luke Quinn, said the new training gear – which is a big nod to the green and gold traditional colours – was in huge demand and it was a real hit with the fans.

Prices range from €27 for children’s t-shirts up to €62 for adults’ half zips and they can be purchased in store or online at kerrygaastore.ie.
