A KILLARNEY teenager who serenaded pop pin-up Cheryl Cole with a soppy love song is bringing a touch of X-Factor excitement to Sunday’s All-Ireland football final.

Much to the amusement of the other adjudicators, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and former Spice Girl Mel B, and millions of viewers, he even managed to get the stunning 31-year-old pop star to dance with him as he sang a romantic ballad.

A blushing Cheryl remarked: “It’s beautiful. I’m speechless.”

Ben, 19, from Woodlawn Road, has now got caught up in the excitement of the glamour Kerry v Donegal All-Ireland final clash and he has penned and released his own single in tribute to the Kerry team.

The talented teenager, who lives with his parents and is the youngest of five children, is a full-time singer and is a regular canter at Sunday Mass in St Mary’s Cathedral.

He has just released a catchy, upbeat pop track called Sam for the Kingdom which is available to purchase on Ben’s Facebook page.
