Congratulations to all those from our club who were honoured as part of the Mid Kerry team that won the Kerry Senior Football Championship 1992 at the county final on Sunday last. John P O’Sullivan was the trainer of the winning Mid Kerry team and Mike Larkin McCarthy was chairman of the Mid Kerry Board at the time.
Comhgairdeas to the following who lined out on the starting 15: Sean Burke (captain), Jim O’Connor, Andrew Boyle, Mike Dennehy, Liam Kelleher and Willie Maher.
Among the substitutes on the day were Joe Daly, Sean Counihan, Jamie Courtney, Linus Burke and Sean Costello.
Sympathy: The Milltown-Castlemaine GAA club extends sympathy to the family of Bernadine O’Sullivan who died last week. We also send our sympathy to one of our joint Course na nÓg sponsors Norman Foley on the recent death of his father-in-law Eddie. May they rest in peace.
Under 16: Round 3 of the Mid Kerry Under 16 Championship, on this Saturday at 3pm, sees Milltown-Castlemaine at home to Beaufort. Please come along to support the panel and management.
Minors: The Mid Kerry Minor Championship final between Laune Rangers and Beaufort is on the bank holiday Monday at 2.30pm in Milltown-Castlemaine GAA Grounds.
Lotto: The lotto jackpot is now at a super €16,800. The next draw will take place on Friday, November 3rwith €800 on offer for a match 3 and six consolation prizes on offer. The winners from last week’s draw were €50 each: Ena Galvin c/o Gally’s Bar, Tralee and Christina and Seán Lally, Ballyfinnane. €25 each: Derek Twiss, Dromin, Leonie Donnelly, 12, Millbrook Village, Tom Dowd, Ballycrispin and Gerard McCarthy, Larkin’s Bakery. The drawn numbers were 6,10 and 26 with the bonus number being 30.
