THE teenage girl missing from her home for over a week has made contact with her family and is safe and well.

16-year-old Chloe Palmer hadn’t been seen since she left her family home in Kilgarvan in the early hours of last Wednesday, August 3.

Garda launched an investigation into her disappearance and a public appeal was issued for any information that might have helped to track her down.

When Chloe read a plea from her distraught family on KillarneyToday.com this afternoon, she made contact with her sister, Martina, in Offaly, to say that she was okay.

She also telephoned Killarney Garda Station to assure them that she was fine.

“She rang Martina when she saw the appeal on KillarneyToday.com so, obviously, we are all very relieved and we’re so happy that she made contact,” her Killarney-based uncle, David Foran, said tonight.

Chloe is the daughter of Willie and Helen Palmer, Gorthloughera, Kilgarvan, and she has an older sister and a younger brother.

A student at Phobail Scoil Inbhear Sceine in Kenmare, she left home in the early hours of the morning and it is understood that she brought two bags of clothes and other belongings with her.

She was in her bedroom at midnight but her mother discovered she was gone shortly after 6 o’clock the following morning.
