ADVENTURE racers intending to participate in the big Quest Killarney race in Killarney in March have been advised that the event is almost a complete sell-out and the number of remaining places is very limited.

The Expert 55km route is sold out and only 50 places remain on the 33k Sport route, organisers have confirmed.

The one-day adventure race, on Saturday, March 12, will involve competitors running, cycling and kayaking in some of Killarney National Park’s most rugged landscapes and breath-taking scenery.

On the 33k route, competitors will cycle towards Ladies View, kayak on the Lakes of Killarney and ascend the Torc Waterfall steps while enjoying panoramic views across Killarney National Park.

The 55km route encompasses the Black Valley and parts of the Kerry Way and competitors will get the chance to see the unspoiled beauty of one of the most remote parts of Ireland.

After a challenging race, competitors and spectators can enjoy a festival atmosphere, with music, food and an after-party in the Gleneagle Hotel. Each competitor will receive a customised medal and cycle jersey.

People of all levels of fitness are encouraged to take part in this epic adventure experience and to register go to http://questkillarney.com/march/
