A BALMY last day of May greeted participants from Killarney who descended on neighbouring Castleisland for an action-packed and fun-filled showjumping event on Saturday.
Glorious sunshine beamed down on the arena in the grounds of Crag Cave as enthusiastic riders from many parts of Munster flocked to the town to test their skill and put their equine charges through their paces.
Competition was intense all through the day with some terrific battles unfolding in the quest for the several honours up for grabs.
Organised and promoted by the Castleisland Horse and Pony Club, under the auspices of ShowJumping Ireland, the event was hailed a big success and it turned out to be a really enjoyable day in the sunshine for the participants and their families and friends.
