Mart wants to think pink

Pink Hats Kenmare Mart2A BOLD bid has been launched to create a new world record for the number of people wearing pink hats at a local mart.

Pink Hat Day will be staged at Kenmare Co-op Mart on Monday, February 8 with all proceeds from the fundraiser to go to Recovery Haven.

The aim is to encourage as many people as possible to turn up at 1.00pm to don one of the pink hats generously sponsored by Dairymaster.

“All we want is for people to show up, put on a pink hat and donate,” said mart manager Dan McCarthy.

Recovery Haven provides support for those living with cancer, their families and carers and it offers an important outreach programme in Killarney.
