SUCCESSFUL husband-and-wife culinary team John and Freda Sheehan have opted not to tender for the new contract at Killarney Golf and Fishing Club.
The popular couple have been the club caterers for the past seven years but, with the previous contract about to expire, they have opted to pursue other business interests.
John and Freda, who have extensive experience in the hotel and restaurant trade, also own and run the busy 19th Green guesthouse in Fossa which specialises in the golfing market
“Freda and John have been an integral part of Killarney Golf and Fishing Club over the years and will definitely be missed,” said the club’s sales and marketing manager Aoife Nolan.
“I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the club, to sincerely thank them both for the fantastic efforts over the past number of years and wish them all the best for their future endeavours.”
The club is currently recruiting new caterers and an interim menu will be provided.
Meanwhile, the Killarney club will host the ILGU Munster Senior Cup this Saturday and Sunday.19th Green
