The opening parade in this year’s Christmas in Killarney Festival, scheduled to take place this Saturday night, November 23rd, has been cancelled.
An unfavourable weather forecast – with strong winds and heavy rain forecast – has led the organisers to cancel the event for safety reasons.
“It is with regret that we have to cancel the first of this year’s parades but we have had to take the forecast into account and safety comes first,” the organising committee said.
All going well, a spectacular parade will take place through the streets of the town on Saturday, November 30th.
