There has been a hugely positive reaction in Killarney to confirmation that the proposed route for the new N22 Farranfore-Killarney bypass will be made public shortly.
Preliminary plans for the development will go on public display for two days in the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney on November 11/12.
Members of the public can view to proposals and discuss the matter with project team members and submissions can be made afterwards.

Cllr Niall Kelleher said he was delighted to receive confirmation from Kerry County Council’s Director of Roads and Transportation, Frank Hartnett, that the route for the N22 Farranfore to Killarney Route will be made public.
“This road was first promised over 20 years ago. Killarney is a forgotten town and it’s imperative that this road is delivered this decade,” he said.
Mayor of Killarney, Cllr Maura Healy-Rae, said a briefing for elected members will be arranged prior to the plans going on display and that will allow councillors to familiarize themselves with the details.
“This is a positive development, however, firm funding commitments are needed to ensure the scheme can progress thereafter,” she said.
