Killarney rates well for green spaces, schools and supermarkets

Killarney was considered one of the top towns in the country for green spaces, primary schools and supermarkets

Killarney has been ranked the 23rd best town in the country to live for work-life balance.

An insightful new study, conducted by Switcher.ie, found it was also the fifth best town for health and well-being, with above average national parks and gardens.

It was considered one of the top towns in the country for green spaces, primary schools and supermarkets too.

The research compared essentials like broadband speeds, mobile coverage and access to local amenities like primary schools, GP surgeries and major supermarkets.

It also looked at factors important for well-being, like green spaces, leisure facilities and cafes, house prices, commuting and crime rate.

Tralee featured just ahead of Killarney in 22nd place.

The top five places to live in the country in terms of work-life balance were Castlebar, Ballina, Longford, Wexford and Arklow.

With all this information, Switcher.ie created a Work-Life Balance Index to rank the best and worst places to juggle work, family and pleasure.
