It was an occasion filled with excitement, with tears, with nerves, with laughter, with anticipation and with some of the cutest photographs of the year.
The junior infants’ class of 2023 embarked on a wonderful journey this week with their uniforms spic and span, their satchels on their backs and their pencil cases packed with all the colours of the rainbow.
Mums and dads, meanwhile, biting their lips and fighting back the tears, watched the clock until their pride and joy burst back through the front door with so many stories to tell and so many new friends made.
