The Kerry Diocesan Youth Service is facilitating a panel discussion on youth mental health as part of this year’s Kerry Mental Health and Wellbeing Fest.
All of the panellists are fearless leaders who have faced personal adversity, challenged stereotypes, questioned societal norms and shone a light on injustice.
They will be sharing their insights and experience of courageously leading to affect positive change and they will highlight what professionals can do to achieve better services and supports for young people in Ireland.
Guest speakers will include Roisin Clarke, interim CEO of Mental Health Reform Ireland, Senator Tom Clonan who has campaigned against gender discrimination, sexual violence against women and advocate for children and young people with disabilities, Dr Brigid Quilligan, manager of Kerry Travellers Health and Community Development Project and Ian O’Connell, the well-known Killarney native, an inspirational young person and radio presenter.
The event will take place on Thursday, October 13 in the KDYS in Killarney from 11.00am to 12.30pm and to register interested parties should email events@kdys.ie.
