ONE further case of Covid-19 in Kerry, flagged yesterday, was officially added to the county-by-county figures this Wednesday. It brings the total number of infections in the county to 343.
Nationally, three new deaths were reported today and that sees the number of fatalities in the Republic of Ireland rise to 1,781.
An additional 84 cases of the coronavirus were notified today and that brings the known infection rate in the country to 30,164.
Of today’s cases, 51 were in Dublin, six in Offaly, five in Kildare and the remaining 22 cases are located in Cork, Tipperary, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Meath, Roscommon, Westmeath and Wicklow.
Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr Ronan Glynn, said the country is still seeing a concerning pattern of cases, particularly in Dublin.
