The weekly cases of Covid-19 infection in Kerry is still significant, according to official Department of Health statistics.
The number of newly PCR confirmed cases in the Killarney electoral area, in the 14-day period from May 9 to May 23, was 76.
There were 102 cases in Tralee in the same period and 65 confirmed cases in the Kenmare electoral area, with 49 in Corca Dhuibhne, 81 in Listowel, and 45 in Castleisland.
It brings the total number of cases reported in Kerry since the pandemic commenced to 37,983 and the number of confirmed Coronavirus-linked deaths in the county to 150.
As of last Wednesday, the total number of confirmed cases nationwide was just short of 1,566,000 with just under 7,400 fatalities.
On June 1, there were 615 cases confirmed nationwide with 77 deaths that week.
The figures are based on the number of PCR confirmed cases notified over a 14-day period and they do not include positive antigen results.
