
A very unique exhibition featuring the work of 20 professional Kerry artists will run from 28 March to 18 June at the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media in Killarney.
The Kerry Art Now will be officially opened by the Mayor of Kerry, Cllr Breandán Fitzgerald at 6.30pm on Friday, March 28 with exhibiting artists in attendance and entertainment will be provided by internationally renowned, Killarney-based group Afrotrad.
Over the course of the exhibition, local school groups at all levels will be invited to visit any time during opening hours and they can meet some artists and create their own interpretations of Kerry art.

The artists participating include Regine Bartsch, Dorota Borowa, Lucy and Robert Carter, Kathy Cronin, Clodagh Edwards, Lisa Fingleton, Zoë Uí Fhaoláin Green, Laura Fitzgerald, Michael Flaherty, Cathy Giles, Karen Hendy, Darragh Kinch, Holger Lonze, Rochelle Lucey, Deidre McKenna, Poppy Melia, Silke Michels, Aaron Mulvihill, Niall Naessens, Ciara O’Connor, Alan Ragget, Una Ní She and Chris Steenson.
The exhibition is curated by the Grilse Gallery, Killorglin, and is supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and Kerry County Council’s Arts Office.
