
A TOTAL of 15 new jobs have been created in Killarney with the opening this Friday of a new Centra supermarket and Maxol filling station close to the town centre.
The development is being undertaken by local business couple Pat and Eileen Sheahan and family and the business will be managed by their daughter Aisling.
The premises is located on the busy Muckross Road, immediately adjacent to the Randles car dealership.
The main contractors were Laddens of Castlemaine and the design team was spearheaded by Rory McGillycuddy of Killarney based consulting engineers Mosca McGillycuddy.
The Sheahan family has extensive business interests in Killarney, including McSorley’s nightclub on College Street, The Porthouse bar and restaurant on Plunkett Street and an off-licence on New Street.
